    Chester’s most premium ticketed enclosure is situated adjacent to the Winning Post itself and within the heart of Chester's buzzing paddock. This adult only enclosure is partially covered, offering shelter from the elements and has informal seating for guests.   • County Long Room £46

    This coveted badge affords admittance to the County Long Room bar, covered seating within the County Stand and exclusive access the County Champagne Bar across the track in the Paddock area of the course. A County Long Room badge is a popular choice for racegoers looking for the perfect combination of spectacular views of the track and full use of Chester’s facilities. The £10 off County Long Room Badges is available on a first come, first served basis before the deadline of Wednesday 6 June. Discount will be applied at point of checkout.

  • County Concourse £39

    Overlooking the final furlong and the finishing post, the County Concourse is a premium enclosure at the heart of the Racecourse. This badge permits racegoers access to the Paddock and all accompanying facilities including the County Champagne Bar and Parade Ring viewing. This badge does not provide access to the seated area in the County Stand, although limited standing is available in the first few rows.The £10 off County Concourse Badges is available on a first come, first served basis before the deadline of Wednesday 6 June.

  • Tattersalls £31

    A Tattersalls ticket is the ideal choice for racegoers looking to access both sides of the track and affords excellent viewing of the final stages of every race. Enjoy the facilities of the Paddock, including the Paddock Lawn and food concessions in Parade Ring Corner. Take full advantage of the Chester Bet facilities on offer and enjoy a great day in relaxed surroundings. The £10 off Tattersalls tickets is available on a first come, first served basis before the deadline of Wednesday 6 June. Discount will be applied at point of checkout.

  • Dee Stand £14

    The Dee Stand has a tiered, uncovered terrace and ground floor standing area. A ticket for the Dee Stand provides access to food concessions, bars and betting facilities within Dee Stand and the Open Course enclosure. A Dee Stand ticket does not permit access to the Paddock area of the course, but ticket holders are permitted to access the Open Course enclosure in the centre of the race track, where free childrens activities and live entertainment can be enjoyed (weather permitting).

  • Open Course £10

    The Open Course is located within the centre of the race track and is the ideal setting for a relaxed day at the races. Free children’s activities and live entertainment (weather permitting) to entertain younger racegoers make it the perfect family day out and entry for children aged 17 and under is completely free (when accompanied by a full paying, responsible adult). Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day at the gate. Pack a picnic to enjoy in the designated picnic area or take advantage of the food concessions and bars of the Open Course.

  • The White Horse from £67.50 +VAT

    The White Horse has prime position on the course, overlooking the pre-parade ring, with a front row seat of the horses in the saddling boxes as they prepare for their big race. Just a short walk from the winner’s enclosure our pub is positioned in the centre of the racing excitement. Unlike any other dining experience on race days at Chester Racecourse, they offer a relaxed experience, serving generous helpings of carefully selected pub favourites.

    The Final Furlong Restaurant is located within the Festival Village adjacent to the Chalets. After dining inside the restaurant you are able to stroll to the rails of the race track to watch the thrilling action in the final minutes of each race.

The perfect way to enjoy an early summer Friday evening and get the weekend off to a winning start.

Take advantage of a £10 off tickets and badges offer on Winning POst, County Long Room, County Concourse and Tattersalls Enclosure before the discount expires on Wednesday 6 June. Discount will be applied at point of checkout.

The last day for purchasing tickets for posting is Tuesday 26 June. After this date, tickets and badges can still be bought online but will remain at the Box Office for collection on raceday.

Purchasing a Tattersalls or Dee Stand ticket? Avoid postage charges and opt for Print At Home when choosing a fulfilment method at point of purchase. Please note that it is your responsibility to print your ticket and bring it with you on raceday. Chester Race Company will not be held responsible for damaged, lost or stolen tickets on raceday.

For groups looking to buy 10 or more tickets in either the Dee Stand or out on the Open Course, for every 10 bought, you'll receive one cpmplimentary extra ticket. Simply add 10 to your basket and at point of processing, you'll recieve an additional ticket free of charge.

Cash Machine

We have three ATMs on-site and available to use on raceday. These are located in the stairwell of the County Stand, in the Paddock behind the Pavilion Bar and in Tattersalls Enclosure. There is a charge to use the machines, but a minimum withdrawal of £20 is required. Please be advised that all bars accept contactless payment up to £30 and selected Chester Bet terminals offer the same facility. An ATM is available all year round in the Holiday Inn Express, Chester Racecourse.


Children aged 17 and under are admitted free of charge into all areas (except the Winning Post Enclosure), when accompanied by a full paying responsible adult. No tickets are necessary, however, children entering the County Enclosure or County Long Room will require a junior badge which can be collected from the Box Office on the day of racing. Dress Code

Each stand at Chester Racecourse adheres to a specific dress code policy. To find out more about the dress code in your selected enclosure, please read the information here. Please note that racegoers who do not adhere to the required dress code may be refused access to the Racecourse.

Food & Drink

There are a number of food and beverage outlets situated across the Racecourse, serving a variety of food options. For a detailed look, click here. Free tap water is available at all bars. Please be advised that racegoers are not permitted to bring food and drink onto the Racecourse unless in possession of an Open Course ticket.

Gate Opening Times

Gates open at 4.30pm on Ladies Evening. Racegoers are advised to leave plenty of time to make their journey to and enter the Racecourse. 


Parking is available onsite for £8 and can be purchased in advance online after your ticket or badge selection has been made. Alternatively advance parking can also be purchased over the phone on 01244 304 610. Cash payments are accepted on the day at the Car Park pay booths, places are issued on a first come, first served basis.

Picnic Policy

Racegoers wishing to enjoy a picnic by their car before entering the Open Course will be directed to a specific area of the car park – the Car Park Picnic Area. This area is available to racegoers who have purchased Open Course tickets and Open Course Car Parking. Within this area, you are welcome to bring a moderate amount of alcohol for your picnic on a raceday. For more information, please visit our Picnic Policy guidelines page.

Raceday Tours

Raceday Tours can be purchased in conjunction with an advance County Concourse, County Long Room Badge or Tattersalls ticket. Please contact the Box Office for more information on 01244 304610. A raceday tour is £15 per person and includes a complimentary racecard. Places are limited and issued on a first come first served basis

Getting to Chester Races

Chester Races is located in the heart of the historic city of Chester and is easily accessible by the rail network and road and is sign-posted from all major routes. Visit our Plan Your Visit page here for further information on how to reach Cheser Racecourse on raceday.

Road Closures

On racedays, road closures take place around the Racecourse to allow pedestrians’ safe entry to and exit from the Racecourse. From the A5268, Watergate Street closes to vehicles approximately one and a half hours before racing. Following racing, Waterergate Street will remain closed for vehicles for up to one hour or until routes are clear of pedestrians. To access the Racecourse by vehicle and take advantage of parking at the Racecourse, racegoers should use the A548, Sealand Road.
