  • Winning Post Enclosure - £90

    Chester’s most premium ticketed enclosure is situated adjacent to the Winning Post itself and within the heart of the buzzing paddock. The Winning Post is the perfect spot to socialise and soak in all of the atmosphere a day's racing at Chester has to offer. This adult only enclosure is partially covered with informal seating and offers a degree of shelter from the elements. Half price tickets on this enclosure/fixture, available until Wednesday 19 July 2017 - discount will be applied in online basket.

  • County Long Room - £60

    Low Stock

    The County Long Room is within the County Stand, located on the first floor. This sought after ticket provides some of the best viewing over the Roodee as well as access to undercovered seating. The Long Room badge also provides access to the County Concourse in front of the stand and into the centre of the racecourse, getting closer to the horses in the parade ring. Half price tickets on this enclosure/fixture, available until Wednesday 19 July 2017 - discount will be applied in online basket.

  • County Concourse - £40

    The County Stand overlooks the final furlong and the winning post. Gents are requested to wear suits with collar and tie and for ladies, smart dress is suggested. With great views of the parade ring, this badge also permits access to the County champagne bar. Half price tickets on this enclosure/fixture, available until Wednesday 19 July 2017 - discount will be applied in online basket.

  • Tattersalls - £30

    The Tattersalls Enclosure is the largest on the racecourse and provides access to bars, catering concessions, chesterBet and the betting ring. As well as providing viewing from the tiered, covered terrace, visitors can also venture into the ‘Paddock’ in the centre of the course where the parade ring and winner’s enclosure are located as well as access to bars and main food court. Half price tickets on this enclosure/fixture, available until Wednesday 19 July 2017 - discount will be applied in online basket.

  • Dee Stand - £15

    The Dee Stand has a tiered, uncovered terrace and ground floor standing area. A ticket for the Dee Stand provides access to food concessions, bars and betting facilities within Dee Stand and the Open Course enclosure.

    A Dee Stand ticket does not permit access to the Paddock area of the course, but ticket holders are permitted to access the Open Course enclosure in the centre of the race track, where free childrens activities and live entertainment can be enjoyed (weather permitting).

  • Open Course £12

    The Open Course is located within the centre of the race track and is the ideal setting for a relaxed day at the races. Free children’s activities and live entertainment (weather permitting) to entertain younger racegoers make it the perfect family day out and entry for children aged 17 and under is completely free (when accompanied by a full paying, responsible adult). Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day at the gate. Pack a picnic to enjoy in the designated picnic area or take advantage of the food concessions and bars of the Open Course.   • 1539 Restaurant & Bar - from £97.50 (+VAT)

    1539 Restaurant & Bar offers contemporary British cooking with a focus on locally sourced produce.   • The White Horse - from £57.50 (+VAT)

    The White Horse has prime position on the course, overlooking the pre-parade ring, with a front row seat of the horses in the saddling boxes as they prepare for their big race. Just a short walk from the winner’s enclosure our pub is positioned in the centre of the racing excitement. Unlike any other dining experience on race days at Chester Racecourse, they offer a relaxed experience, serving generous helpings of carefully selected pub favourites.

MBNA Family Funday

Stuck for things to do over the school holidays? Look no further than Chester Racecourse's Family Funday.

We have plenty of free entertainment to keep the kids busy courtesy of MBNA and Flip Out!

Pack your picnics and gazebos (£10 fee on the gate), we can’t wait to see you! It’s the only place to be in Chester this Summer.

For families and racegoers alike, it is fantastic value for a family day out. 

Children under 17 are eligible to attend completely free of charge and it’s just £12 grown-ups on the Open Course!

We will be unable to post tickets purchased after Wednesday 2nd August 2017.

Tickets will be kept for collection at the Box Office.

 

The Open Course Car Park opens at 8am. Gates for the Open Course (9&10) will be open from 9am, Gate 12 (for those with pushchairs and situated underneath the Grosvenor Bridge) will open at 11am until 3.30pm.

All other enclosure gates open from 11.30am.

Checklist

Accommodation

Offering an unrivalled location and value for money, complementary WiFi and parking as standard; our onsite accommodation is provided by Holiday Inn Express Chester Racecourse. Please call 01244 327900 to enquire about booking.

Cash Machine

During racedays, we have a number of ATM's available. These are located by the County Stand, the Leverhulme Stand, The Parade Ring and Tattersalls. There is a charge to use the machines, and a minimum withdrawl of £20 is required. An ATM is available all year round in the Holiday Inn Express, Chester Racecourse.

Children

Children aged 17 and under are admitted free into all areas when accompanied by an adult. No tickets are necessary, however, children entering the County Enclosure or County Long Room require a junior badge which can be picked up from the box office on the day of racing.

Food & Drink

There are a number of food and beverage outlets throughout the racecourse, serving a variety of food from across the world. 

Gate Opening Times

Gates open at 11.30am.

Parking

Parking is available onsite for £11, payable on arrival on the day. Cash only.

Picnic Policy

We provide a Car Park Picnic Area, which is separate from the Open Course with rules regarding food and drink. This area is available to racegoers who have purchased Open Course tickets and Open Course Car Parking.  Within this area, you are welcome to bring a moderate amount of alcohol for your picnic on a raceday. Raceday Tours

Raceday tours can be purchased in conjunction with an advance County/Long Room badge or Tattersall ticket. Please contact the box office for more information on 01244 304610.

Road Closures

On racedays, road closures around the racecourse are normal to allow pedestrians safe entry to and exit from the racecourse. From the A5268, Watergate Street closes to vehicle approximately 1 and a half hours before racing. Following racing, Waterergate Street will remain closed for vehicles for up to 1 hour or until routes are clear of pedestrians. To access the racecourse by vehicles for parking, racegoers should use the A548, Sealand Road.

Chester Races is located in the heart of the historic city and is easily accessible by the rail network and road and is sign-posted from all major routes. Please check National Rail for more information.
