    Chester’s most premium ticketed enclosure is situated adjacent to the Winning Post itself and within the heart of Chester's buzzing paddock. This adult only enclosure is partially covered, offering shelter from the elements and has informal seating for guests, providing a guaranteed seat and the perfect spot from which to socialise and enjoy an afternoon of racing.

  • County Long Room - £45

    The County Long Room is within the County Stand, located on the first floor.  This prestigious ticket provides the best views over the Roodee as well as access to undercovered seating*. As a holder of a Long Room ticket, the badge also provides full access to the County Concourse and the Paddock. Gents are requested to wear suits with collar and tie. For ladies, smart dress is suggested. 


  • County Concourse - £38

    Low Stock

    Overlooking the Final Furlong and The Winning Post, the County Concourse is at the heart of the racecourse. This badge also permits access to the Paddock, The Parade Ring, County Champagne Bar and winner's enclosure. Enjoy full access to our ChesterBET as well as our betting ring.

  • Tattersalls - £30

    The Tattersalls Enclosure is the largest on the racecourse. Perfect for large groups, the ticket provides excellent views via the tiered covered terrace. Tattersalls ticket holders have access to bars, catering concessions, chesterBet and the betting ring as well as entry into the Paddock. 

  • Dee Stand - £14

    The Dee Stand has a tiered, uncovered terrace and ground floor standing area. A ticket for the Dee Stand provides access to food concessions, bars and betting facilities within Dee Stand and the Open Course enclosure.

    A Dee Stand ticket does not permit access to the Paddock area of the course, but ticket holders are permitted to access the Open Course enclosure in the centre of the race track, where free childrens activities and live entertainment can be enjoyed (weather permitting).

  • Open Course - £10

    For those who enjoy the great outdoors in the summer time, the Open Course is a relaxed enclosure in the centre of the race track where parking is also available. With big screen viewing, none of the racing action will be missed as well as an opportunity to have a bet. Group discounts apply for this enclosure, buy 10 get 1 free on pre-booked tickets only.   • The Final Furlong - £180 (+VAT)

    The Final Furlong Restaurant is located within the Festival Village adjacent to the Chalets. After dining inside the restaurant you are able to stroll to the rails of the race track to watch the thrilling action in the final minutes of each race.  

  • 1539 Restaurant & Bar - from £135 (+VAT)

    1539 Restaurant & Bar offers contemporary British cooking with a focus on locally sourced produce.   • The Turf - £130 (+VAT)

    The Turf Offers an intimate dining experience is perfect for couples and small groups and includes a County Stand admission badge, three-course menu, cream tea, cash bar, race card, betting facilities, television viewing and access to County Stand Grandstand seating.

  • The White Horse - from £67.50 (+VAT)

    The White Horse has prime position on the course, overlooking the pre-parade ring, with a front row seat of the horses in the saddling boxes as they prepare for their big race. Just a short walk from the winner’s enclosure our pub is positioned in the centre of the racing excitement. Unlike any other dining experience on race days at Chester Racecourse, they offer a relaxed experience, serving generous helpings of carefully selected pub favourites.

It’s all about the glamour on Ladies’ Evening. You're in great company, with exciting races to enjoy in comfortable surroundings, it’s the perfect way to spend a Friday evening. 

We will be unable to post tickets purchased after Tuesday 27th June 2016. Tickets will be kept for collection at the Box Office.

Cash Machine

During racedays, we have a number of ATM's available. These are located by the County Stand, the Leverhulme Stand, The Parade Ring and Tattersalls. There is a charge to use the machines, and a minimum withdrawl of £20 is required. An ATM is available all year round in the Holiday Inn Express, Chester Racecourse.


Children aged 17 and under are admitted free into all areas when accompanied by an adult. No tickets are necessary, however, children entering the County Enclosure or County Long Room require a junior badge which can be picked up from the box office on the day of racing.

There are a number of food and beverage outlets throughout the racecourse, serving a variety of food from across the world.

Parking is available onsite for £8 during racedays. This can be purchased in advance by calling the box office on 01244 304610.

Picnic Policy

We provide a Car Park Picnic Area, which is separate from the Open Course with rules regarding food and drink. This area is available to racegoers who have purchased Open Course tickets and Open Course Car Parking.  Within this area, you are welcome to bring a moderate amount of alcohol for your picnic on a raceday. Road Closures

On racedays, road closures around the racecourse are normal to allow pedestrians safe entry to and exit from the racecourse. From the A5268, Watergate Street closes to vehicle approximately 1 and a half hours before racing. Following racing, Waterergate Street will remain closed for vehicles for up to 1 hour or until routes are clear of pedestrians. To access the racecourse by vehicles for parking, racegoers should use the A548, Sealand Road.
