Owners and Trainers

The 14 days of racing at Chester offer a broad scope of opportunity with races ranging from Group races through to Class 5 handicaps. From the famous May Festival through to our final meeting, the Summer Finale, we pride ourselves on offering all our visitors, be they human or equine, the best possible facilities.

The May Festival will also see the completion of some major development work at Chester which includes the new Restaurant 1539, with a panoramic view of the course and also a new Owners & Trainers Pavilion, which looks onto the Pre-Parade ring.

On the racing front, we welcome a new 7 furlong Listed race to our July Meeting. Last year´s May Festival attracted some fantastic horses and we hope that this year, we will again attract the same high calibre of horses, in particular in supporting the Group 3 Dee Stakes and MBNA Europe Bank Chester Vase; our premier Derby trials.

The riverside stable complex built in 2006 has been a great success providing some of the very best facilities for horses, stable staff and veterinary officers in the country. The yard provides 138 stables, a further 5 larger boxes have been built for veterinary treatment. In addition there are 9 wash down bays. The stables also have; a canteen, a toilet and shower block, a drying room and new tack boxes to support the hard work of the stables staff.

We look forward to welcoming you during our racing season as an owner, trainer or racegoer and would like to take the opportunity to wish you a successful season.
