Acquired in March 2018, The Yew Tree, Bunbury is the newest addition to Chester Race Company’s portfolio of eateries
The 19th century Free House set in the idyllic village of Bunbury, near Tarporley, is right in the heart of the Cheshire
countryside and has long been a firm favourite amongst locals.
Heading up the team will be experienced landlady, Chloe Turner. Chloe is joining the Company with over 15 years’
experience in developing pubs and restaurants around the country.
Chloe said; ‘I am so excited to be part of this project, Bunbury is such a beautiful place, I can’t wait to welcome the locals
to our lovely new pub.
We will have an impressive selection of local cask ales for guests to enjoy, along with an interesting collection of wines
and artisan gins.’
The Yew Tree’s menu will be created by Bunbury local, Craig Wainwright. Craig has worked for Chester Race Company for
four years, developing the food concepts in Commonhall St Social and The White Horse at Chester Racecourse.
Craig said; ‘Cheshire has so many fantastic growers and farmers and I am looking forward to developing a menu that
utilises what our amazing county has to offer’.
The pub is currently undergoing work to freshen up the interior but will be retaining its homely feel to promote its
relaxed atmosphere. The Yew Tree will be opening its doors to locals for a welcome drink and an opportunity to meet
the team on Thursday 19 April. A welcome 50% discount off food will be available to all who visit over opening weekend
between Thursday 19 and Sunday 22 April, so pay the team a visit and show your support.
