The event will take place at the award-winning pub, situated within the grounds of Chester Racecourse, with the focus on a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere and plenty on offer to entertain the kids.
One of the most historic and iconic venues in the beautiful city of Chester, The White Horse is perfectly situated on the historic Roodee. Serving classic pub dishes with a modern twist, using the best local and seasonal produce, the friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere create the perfect space to spend time with the family. The two-day event will take place on Saturday and Sunday June 24 - 25 between 12noon and 7pm. Sit back and enjoy food and drink from the pubs outside BBQ and garden bar or book a table for a sit down meal inside.
The event is set to be a fabulous, fun-packed weekend for all, curated by ParentFolk, the hip North West regional newspaper for those who are rocking parenting their own way. The event, sponsored by Toddler Fun Learning, is the first of a series of ParentFolk weekenders over the next 12 months, each to be held in an iconic location celebrating the best food, fun and lifestyle for the whole family.
ParentFolk founder Nicola Spindler says: “Weekenders used to be about hedonism, throwing a few shapes and partying until dawn. But now we’re the parents, we need to reinvent the weekender, ParentFolk style.
“We figure if the LittleFolk are entertained you get to relax, so there’s going to be plenty of activities, creative stimulation and entertainment for all ages to keep them engaged and occupied across the weekend.”
There will be pop up arts and crafts, circus workshops, soccer skills, sundowner headdress-making sessions and T-shirt printing. And once all that’s tired them out there’ll be kids’ yoga workshops, magical storytelling, and even a toddler zone to keep little ones entertained. Plus a lovely shopping experience with a ‘pop-ups-pop-up’, a selection of gorgeous independent retailers from the region and across the UK.
Pub Landlord and Chef, Craig Wainwright says: “A parent to three, it’s refreshing to be part of an event that targets to kids and parents, a mindset that we are fully on board with.”
A full timetable will be announced soon.
