Chester Racecourse on the search for budding young artists to feature in Family Day promotional campaign

Chester Racecourse is encouraging its younger racegoers to get involved in its annual Family Funday on Sunday 31st July, by helping to design advertising elements that will promote the day.

Open to children aged 12 and under, the racecourse wants its young racegoers to feel part of family day preparations and has designed a template for budding young artists to colour in to promote Family Funday.  Using colouring pencils, felt tips, or paint; the competition will allow budding young artists the opportunity to show off their creative flair.  The winning masterpiece will be used in social media advertising to promote the day, be used on big screens on racedays as well as feature on the racecard cover. The winning child will also win tickets for their family to come racing and be part of the day, as well as a framed copy of the racecard to take home.

Chester’s only Sunday fixture within the calendar, Family Funday is often a child’s first introduction to racing and with half price admission for Adults* to County and Tattersalls Enclosures, children admitted free as well as plenty of free fun and entertainment on the Open Course, now is the perfect time to secure your tickets for the day.

Competition entries will be accepted up to 12noon on Wednesday, 13th July. The competition template can be downloaded from the Chester Racecourse website www.chester-races.com/ffkidsday. Alternatively, collect a printed copy of the template from Box Office or The White Horse pub at Chester Racecourse.

Tickets for all forthcoming racing fixtures this year can be purchased online at www.chester-races.com
