The start of Chester Racecourse Polo Club’s season begins on Friday 22nd May with the flagship tournament, the LDF International, held on Chester’s Roodee.
Surprisingly, prize money is rare in Polo and with teams competing to win £10,000 on the Roodee; the LDF International is expected to attract some top players.
The two day tournament on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd May promises a memorable, fun day out for all the family. With general admission free on the Friday and just £8 on the Saturday, all are welcome to relax pitch-side and enjoy the glamorous and exhilarating game with a picnic or enjoy a bite to eat and a glass of fizz from our food and drink destinations within the pitch-side shopping village.
Hospitality options are available for those wanting to experience this aspirational and exciting sport in style, with a VIP champagne reception and three course lunch with wine on the Friday at £105 per person and on the Saturday, enjoy a relaxed, social occasion with a prosecco reception and two course buffet lunch for just £55 pp.
Whether entertaining clients in VIP style, celebrating a special occasion with the family, or enjoying a picnic on the pitch-side; a day at the Polo is an unforgettable experience in a glamorous setting, where style and fashion go hand-in-hand with the action. What’s more, ladies will have the chance to show those killer heels some action in the traditional ‘stomping of the divots’ mid event.
If May showers persist, then the on-course White Horse pub and glass fronted restaurant 1539 provide a retreat from the elements and the roof terrace bar in 1539 provides a perfect spot for a cocktail and a view of the action.
The LDF International Polo Weekend is held on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd May. Bookings for admission and hospitality can be made online at www.chester-races.com, or by calling on 01244 304 610. General admission tickets will also be available on the day.
