This week marks the return of the two day Betfair Autumn Festival to the Roodee, on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September.
On Friday the gates will open at 1130am for a full card of seven thrilling races, commencing at 2pm with the Cash Out in Running with Betfair EBF Maiden Stakes. The racing action concludes at 5.10pm with the Handicap Stakes for Gentleman Amateur Riders.
On Saturday the gates open again at 1130am for Chester’s penultimate race day for 2015. The first race, the Betfair Price Rush E.B.F Stallions Maiden Stakes is at 140pm. The feature race at 250pm is the historic Stand Cup, which was first run at the Roodee in 1818, where it was won by a horse called Magistrate. The final race, the Betfair Supports the Injured Jockeys Fund Handicap Stakes runs at 5.10pm.

On Saturday, free entertainment for children on the Open Course includes the popular ‘Bounce Zone’ featuring Titan the 60ft inflatable slide, a giant bouncy castle and bungee trampolines. Gates open at 1130am on both Friday and Saturday. Chester’s racing calendar comes to a close on Saturday 26th September with the Golden Square Shopping Centre Season Finale.
