Disabled Racegoers
At Chester Racecourse, we pride ourselves in providing modern facilities for all our racegoers, and with this in mind, we are pleased to highlight our disabled policy and facilities.
Disabled Parking
Limited hard standing parking is available in the disabled bays within the hotel car park for wheelchair users only. Non wheelchair users are requested to park at the rear of the Paddock in the designated disabled parking area.
Disabled Facilities
The disabled access route for wheel chair users is via the front of the Leverhulme Stand (this route is signposted). Designated disabled viewing facilities are provided in the County, Tattersalls, Paddock & Dee Stands. A raised viewing platform, next to rails in the Paddock Enclosure, provides excellent viewing of the track and winning post. Lifts are provided in Leverhulme, County and Tattersalls stands.
Disabled toilets are available in all areas and enclosures of the course. A marquee, with refreshment area, is provided by Chester Racecourse for disabled racegoers to watch the racing. This is located on the right of the main entrance route crossing the track into the Open Course. It is accessible to wheel chair users and has a designated steward to help with any questions or problems.
Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs and Dogs for Disabled welcome - Aide dogs only are allowed into the course on race days
Entrance Fee
Disabled racegoers will be charged at the full brochure entrance fee. However if a disability is such that a carer is required, the carer may enter designated areas free of charge.
