Restaurant 1539 | Chester Racecourse

Restaurant 1539

Restaurant 1539 is named after the year that racing first took place on the famous Roodee at Chester. This stylish and contemporary glass-fronted restaurant boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the racecourse.
Following a plush refurbishment in 2014, the restaurant is more suited to smaller groups of individuals, friends and family. Offering modern British cooking with a focus on locally sourced produce, the restaurant has won awards such as ‘Taste of Cheshire’ and ‘Large Restaurant of the Year’ at Chester’s Tourism awards, and has retained its AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence.
