The Holiday Inn Express Chester Racecourse today announces a major refurbishment is underway.
The two year improvement programme will see all guest rooms undergo a complete transformation including beds, carpets, bathrooms and all fixtures and fittings. To date, a third of the 97 rooms have been completed.
Guests of the property, which is managed by Chester Race Company can already enjoy improved public areas including free Wi-Fi, an upgraded reception, bar and meeting room with furniture and fixtures in rich, bold colours to give the hotel a contemporary feel.
The news comes as the hotel announces continued unprecedented occupancy rates of 95% across the year (on par with 2014 success). A firm favourite in the city, Lucy Hammond of Holiday Inn Express Chester attributes part of the success of the hotel to the outstanding value for money offered:
“The refurb is really taking shape now and we’re excited about improving the experience for our loyal customers. Being situated at the historic racecourse, just five minutes’ walk from the centre of Chester and with free Wi-Fi, parking and a hot breakfast included in the competitive room rates, we believe Holiday Inn Express Chester offers the best value in the city. Along with the discounted offers on tickets to the races and discounts on dining at the award winning 1539 restaurant and the White Horse gastro pub, we offer a package to rival any in the city.”
